Birmingham City University’s online business analysis tool and growth support will help you identify key areas of development, diversification and expansion for your company and give you the insight needed to develop your growth strategy.

You’ll also receive one to one consultancy from our Business Growth Advisors.

HOW WILL Business Analysis (Non-Creative) BENEFIT ME?

Eligible businesses will receive:

  • Access to our online business analysis tool to discover your company’s potential and identify your growth risks and opportunities
  • Telephone support (if requested) to guide you through the completion of the online Business Analysis tool questions
  • A personalised business analysis report detailing the results of your online business analysis
  • A one to one business growth consultancy session to discuss your business analysis results and build your personalised growth support plan
  • A place on our two-day ‘Enterprise for Success’ workshop designed in partnership with successful business leaders and entrepreneurs. You’ll work with a broad range of activities to help you achieve growth from strategy development to preparing your product or service for market
  • Guidance from BCU’s Business Growth Advisors.

It is free of charge to early stage small businesses and start ups (outside of the Creative Industries) that are located within the GBSLEP area.

If you’re a business start up or early stage small business (outside of the Creative Industries) located within the GBSLEP area, we invite you to enquire about free Business Analysis (Non-Creative).

We will also give you direct access to our online Business Analysis tool (and, if requested, schedule question completion support by telephone).

Is this service free of charge?

Yes, there is no charge for SMEs located within the GBSLEP region.

This service is delivered in partnership with Enterprise for Success and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Am I eligible to use this service?

If you are a small to medium sized business (SME) in the creative sector, and you are located within the GBSLEP region, then we welcome your application.

How long will I receive support for?

The duration of support is dependent on your needs.

We will review your application and work with you to develop a working timescale to help you achieve your ambitions.

Where are you located?

If you are eligible for support, your account manager will work with you at either one of Birmingham City University’s campuses, your business location, or the Enterprise for Success headquarters located in North Solihull.

What is “GBSLEP” and is my business within this region?

“GBSLEP” stands for the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership. As well as Birmingham and Solihull, the region covers Lichfield, Cannock Chase, Wyre Valley, East Staffordshire, Redditch and more.
